OMG!!! its meh last blog post. Its soo sad!!! So I'm going to make it fun and awesome to read.

So what am I doing these holidays...
- maybe to auckalnd (with my friend Abriana)
- Maybe somewhere up north
- probably stay home (like normal)
 - the family always go to Masterton together (getting kind of boring now)
Xara Ange Rose Jetly..... isn't a lovely name? Well why can't I have a lovely holiday? (fail!! XD) Masterton is not interesting (we go there every year, its a tradition) ... but leaving St Benedicts is sad

So here are some mistakes or things that YOU should NOT do this year. It's been fun and St benedicts. but sometimes YOU can get carried away and get over excited...
- I was yr 3 when I had my first accident. I was playing inside with a ball (when I was told not too) I accidently kicked it too high and it smacked it on the light, causing it to fall and smash onto the floor. I didn't know what to do, I was going to just leave it but I went and told the principle. And guess what... I was told off big time and sent to another class room. (BTW I NEVER LISTEN)
- I was yr 4, I went outside and that stupid (other) teacher came. it was the 'no sun hat no play' rule. (OH GOD HOW MUCH I HATED THAT RULE!!!) I ran behind the target (on the courts) and she didn't see me. I continued playing until I saw another teacher and she saw me running away. I was screamed at and told to sit in the shade. But did I listen? NOOO (of course not) once she left, I quickly ran and played in the adventure playground. (way cooler)
-yr 6, friends. I had my first group of friends Ailsing, Samantha, Nayeli and Aimee. I wanted to join them. I knew they hated me... I knew they didn't like me as a friend.... so I stood up and asked why? and they said cause your different... (I'm not exactly sure they said 'different' specifically) but i still played with them. Then I got  more involved with them and some fun with them, their really nice... but i found out I was ditching Samanalie my best friend. She came up to me, I told her to go away... (maybe more than just 'go away' but you get the picture.)
-yr 7 and 8, boys. BOYS are annoying... people say that I'm desperate for LOVE. But here is the truth.... nope. never was. never have. My friends have been teasing me, when I had my first relationship with a boy (everyone knows who he is) he got embarrassed and kind of ditched me. Its sad. I think the way people tease others is no matter... everyone is going to like or maybe marry someone one day. I have now realised that there is matter in liking boys, but if your REALLY desperate here is some tips.
- Don't try
- Don't stare at the boy you like
- Only tell someone you trust (like your best friend) 
- if your confident... ask the boy.
- DONT EVEN TRY THESE THINGS THEY ARE NOT HELPFUL I WAS BEING SILLY!!! SERIOUSLY BOYS ARE SAD PEOPLE. IF THERE BEING MEAN TO YOU FIGHT BACK!! IF YA BULLIED STAND UP TO THEM, DONT MAKE THEM BULLY YA MORE!!
Hope you  take this is mind.... Boys can be sad people. I have been there. Boys can be your friends, but some are sad!

college? OMG yes!!

college... you kidding me... I'm excited, scared and can't wait! When I was 8 a year 8 came to me and said that you have to be 12 or 13 years old to go to college. I was so excited... I couldn't stop thinking about it. until i realised it was too long and i gave up dreaming about it. But now I only have 2 weeks and I'M GONE!!! XARA ANGE ROSE JETLY will be gone forever from ST BENEDICTS....


I'm looking forwards to public speaking, mathematics, sport and mostly scholar ships for netball. I am looking forward to school... I'm going to try visit St benedict's. the things that is challenging is reading divergent and other books. (tammy i cant im sorry i just cant it seems to boring!!!!)


so 2 weeks, Xara Ange Rose jetly is  gone from St Benedicts. I'm going to miss the teachers my Yr 7 friends and some Yr 6s (I know what you guys are all thinking and no not just him). so bye bye st benedicts i wish all the best. so long.....

I love speaking....
Speaking is my passion. Not cause I win all the time, or because I'm good, its because I enjoy speaking and its fun. i have never been happier once i finished my speech.

When i went to speak I thought I was ready and I was excited. I was so impressed with myself! i thought i did awesome! but i want to do better (if i get in) I loved listeing to bens it was all about me and how he dshould try to beat me this year.

Elsewhere

sup peeps. I have-been reading an amazing book called Expired Elsewhere. it has-been one of my fav books this year. this book is about a little girl called Expired Elizabeth (Liz she Prefers) she sadly died from a car hitting her. she woke up strangely on a boat traveling All which WAS Who died on the day Sami to have Liz has instead called Expired Elsewhere! she meets a new friend called Expired Thandi. Once she arrived at Elsewhere she found her grandma, Who died When she born. Liz Decides to talk to A Few people on how to get back to earth. That she found out Every year she goes down a age. Liz died at 16 which means she will never get a license, have children and most importantly she wont have a REAL life.

I love this book. I recommend it to Every single person in the world! Who Would not love this book? ITS AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! READ IT!

speaking Is my passion. I have been doing drama for 4 years and its been very helpful. but this year I have stopped. and it may be a challenge this year for me. I'm very excited for this years speech contest, as my dads the judge and my mum will be watching me (if I get it.) I was surprised that last year I won. so I am hoping this year that my last year will be another win. I am this year not nervous last year I was. I think its because I have had experience. and its very easy, now speaking in front of lots of people. I want to improve actions and speaking clearly and mouth the words properly. I hope everyone has a good time and good luck!

interesting about space!

I love learning about space. its interesting and keeps me wondering what will happen. I was amazed that venus instead of mars was the closest to the earth! and also I didn't know that there was a solar system in atoms!


I want to know this... is there another earth? can we find out how many suns there are in our whole solar system?

HOLIDAYS!!

The holidays have been awesome! cause you know, everything is awesome!!!!!!! I have been doing a lot of homework over the holidays, I have been doing graphing and simultaneous equations!

I invited my friends over to come play, Samanalie and Abriana! they have been awesome people to hang out with.

on Monday, Abriana came over and we went swimming at H2O! it was fun. but then she became sick and was in the car the whole time! but I played with her brother and that's was okay. then when she got better Abriana asked me to go her house for a sleepover. we had so much fun, doing each others hair, putting makeup on, and being pains to her grandma!

samanlie on Tuesday came over and we went swimming at the tawa pool!! We were promised by mum that I was going to the movies in the hutt with Samanlie!! since Tuesday was our family day, my brother had to choose the movie, my little brother... Aston.
AND YAY!!............. we were watching fire and rescue.....

how the awesome production went!

Ok, so the production! it was so fun there was some people I didn't want to see in the audience that I saw who were waving to me. its so embarrassing! otherwise I loved it!

My highlights was my friends being there to support me and give  me advise and the oppurnity of being on stage. (but my singing was the worst I tell you!)

I don't think anything should be changed just me not being picked again for any singing!!!!!!!!!!!!

the scenes I enjoyed the most was the chair dance scene 'detective HQ' it was funny and very good. it seemed like the dancers were so experienced with chairs!! <----- LOL!

I thought my own performance was okay....... I mean if I got the main role of course I would be awesome but you know I wasn't acting an character I was acting myself on stage! it was cool but I wish I was something bigger. like in the speech competitions.....

hello! production! and other stuff! my mum my dad my  gran are all going to watch me so excited!
I have organised everything and I'm ready to go and be MS JETLY!! 6:00 is in my head I will remember (probs not LOL)

My Mum and Dad are watching me on both nights (she probs want to see how bad I do LOL!) but anyways, I'm excited!!

Teh Epik elections

Okay after three years I finally understand election and stuff. I mean its quite fascinating and intriguing really most of the time I fall asleep but this year I seemed really onto it. is it because its interesting? Or is it because I'm not dumb anymore? (I'm kind of born dumb) <---- LOL!


What I have learnt this term about parliament is that James (an new Zealand person) was the youngest person to be ever in parliament, at the age of 20 he was doing really well! and also a lady who became part of the elections at the age of 22! She was the youngest lady to be ever part of elections within New Zealand.


Also the leaders that represent each party and I also found out how much parties you could vote for! I choose the green party because its a colour and I like green!! <----------LOL!! (I told you I was dumb!) haha! The parties are the ACT party, green party, national party (which is making a fool out of themselves and are really stupid because they just are!) and Labour party.


I have learnt mostly on tiny things that don't really appeal to most people like want peter dun had been and his life, career and family I have researched a lot mostly because I had no idea want this was all about!

Hmmm............ What books have I read this term....?! Oh yes! the James Patterson Books!

James Patterson is an author who's books have been very successful for my liking. Most books I deny and say "eh..." but when I found a discovery of the James Patterson books I have been reading 24/7.

I have achieved eight books this term, nearly 10! last years was my best year, 53 books! One book I read took me ages to read but it was a huge book to read. (mostly because I needed too!) but I have achieved little this year but I swear that next week I will have read around 14 nor 15.

I aim to finish the 20 book challenge because the first term last year I only read around 13 books! and guys, Eizabeth read like 100000000! please tell me does Elizabeth actually read these books?! and
Maddy (since Elizabeth is your best friend) can u tell me, does she or does she not?!

come on guys, you know me. thanks Ms Bolger, like a lot. like seriously im a sporty freak I love everything. what sport should I pick? even the little kids think I love everything! you what im just going to pick a random sport, no im picking every single, no even better im going to talk about the amazing sport!


ok here goes, I love sport no matter WHAT!! other people may love books (Samantha and aisling) others may be a little obsessed with ancient stuff (ha-ha me LOL) but to me books, ancient Egypt or anything else in the world is not as awesome than sport. , hockey, soccer, swimming, indoor cricket, outdoor cricket, tap dancing, jazz, basketball and Obviously NETBALL!!! but let me tell you something there is nothing more better than any of these sports and no matter what! no one can say that's its dumb, or they will go through me! <----- (lol)
you know what?! sport makes you athletic, healthy and well known. like the silver ferns, black caps, black sticks and all blacks. I think sport is the only thing it the world that will make me and you the kind of person who'd everyone would love.

production, production, production, 4 weeks. we are not ready. and I don't know what costume I need for the Jetlys. We are not organised.

the dance I'm in is tainted love. I was told in the morning on Monday. I don't even know this dance! please god help me! but I do have some GOOD friends who will help me like, Aimee. who is sitting next to me saying she will help.

im no where done and even started Ms jetlys costume all I know is that its theme is blue! but I have been trying to help people until im attended.

hey guys, I have been thoughtfully been trying find what song is meaningful to me. maybe demi lavato songs, Britney spears rock and roll ones, oh yes LADY GAGAS!! but I thought nah... these songs are not meaningful there just songs which are groovy and have the best singers in the world. I had chosen a song that was Indian.

at 3 years I was a person who was brought up with Indian songs that I loved. Every Indian song made me think of happiness and joy. It was very fun to sing to because the singers pronounced the words funny! when I was 6 my granddad showed me a song called 'jai Ho' in Indian language Jai Ho means hello. This song was sang by the pussycat dolls.

I danced had fun and enjoyed this song until one day my granddad died from his third heart attack. obviously at a young age I believed he would come back and show me another song.... but he never did. 'Jai Ho' was the song that I loved and it constently reminded me of him! I went to his funeral and the ringing sound in my head wasn't just ring it was a song, the 'jai Ho' song!

this is ladies and gentlemen Xara Jetlys fine art. in Egypt week one of our tasks were too make hieroglyphics as the back ground and a picture of something or someone! yay!

when I started my art I drew my person in the middle first, since I was doing farming as a topic and reasearching it I decided to drew a farmer so it could relate to my topic.

Egypt obviously is my favourite topic, although I had trouble I still enjoyed it. Egypt art was fun and enjoyable.

Ancient Egypt

I have studied Egypt for over 3 years, its been my greatest passion and when I heard the teacher say, "our topic this term is Ancient Egypt" I screamed. I have already learnt everything about Egypt but is still interesting. when I grow up I wanna be a Egyptologist or an archaeologist.


when doing our first lesson we did our mind map and it was interesting because some stuff that I didn't even know about Egypt, like when the river Nile flowed up streamed to the Mediterranean sea, was what I soon researched more about it because I'm so obsessed with Egypt. this week is Egypt week and I'm excited. I enjoyed doing the Egypt groups (reading groups) though the cross country kind of ruined my time.


what I learnt was that Egypt had a small Nile that flowed up stream. I didn't learn that much because I have already learnt most things. BUT I LOVED EGYPTOLOGY (THIS IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE THRE BEST YEAR IN MY LIFE!!)

At Nairnville we do gymnastics and get set into groups.
At the start of our session we play a warm up game which lasts about 15 min. We then do some stretches and get into the gymnastics, they then set us up into groups and go to a course which is set up by the instructors. We have about 15 minutes of gym time. usually the instructors do competitions and have fun with us by doing flips instead of rolly pollies. what I think about gymnastics is that's its very energetic and very out going, the instructors make sure everyone is included and has had a go at a specific thing and their not too strict.

my favourite part of gymnastics is probably the flips and handstands because I'm good at it and I love gym. I usually need to improve on going faster up the ladders, im improving a bit so far.

what i learnt!!!!

what I learnt.
yesterday we had our geometry test which took me about 45 minutes. geometry is fun but I didn't understand the obtuse and right angles, I mean I know them but I kind of forgot. I then remembered that obtuse is a over 90 degree angle and a right angle is a 90 degree angle. I got them mixed up but I soon figured out why.

I also learnt that in singing I shouldn't shout. I did my auditions I had a feeling that I was shouting so a died down abet but people actually liked it, (which was surprising), so I sang my best. shouting is my worst enemy, lets hope that wont turn out to be a disaster on the production, fingers crossed.

what I thought was that I need to learn more and listen more. I have learnt a lot this week but I really want to improve in my geometry test. I think we are doing a test later at the end of this term so that I can be prepared I shall listen and learn and know what to do in my test.

the singing auditions went well I did it at lunch time 1:00. I thought I was ready, but I guess I did a phew mistakes which gave me thought that I wouldn't be able to do it. but I had great support and I would like to say thank you to ms and miss bolger for helping me when I got stuck on that bit of the song, including ms borkin. and also Samantha who was very supportive all through the auditions, she gave me a lot of confidence and at the end of my audition she was complementing on how well I did ( I oviously did the same) so I would like to say thank you for the support.

I was in a group with Ashling, Aimee and Maddy. and I have to say this group was beyond awesome.
our book we focused on was dairy Queen.
what went well is that everyone did everything and listened to what we wanted to contribute. it was a funny humorous book so we had a few laughs. we unlocked crackers because we were well organised.
I'm now liking and finishing this book nicely, usually it takes a long time reading my books.

what book i loved when i was younger

The Twits
By Roald Dahl


the twits are dirty old hags that eat bird pie for breakfast, lunch and tea. They plan to use super glue on a tree to make their yummy bird stew. The Twits make pranks on each other, for example: Mr Twits prank was putting a frog in his bed to scare his old. grumpy wife.
in this story their are two parts of this book one about the Twits and one about  the monkeys, that are trapped in a cage and left upside down.


what I liked about this book was that it was funny and interesting including a phew sad bits, it had no romance what so ever but the Twits the relationship is abit weird according to me personally. I agree that this book requires someone who loves humour and can handle abit of sadness.


I read the book by myself, when I was7 years old this book was recommended by my mum. I loved this book it was enjoyable and sad and it always has been my favourite book since I was 7 and it always will be.

The lego movie

once I arrived at the cinemas I have always wondered what the story moral was going to be. I ordered my tickets on the internet so it could be easier. we entered the cinema and all I could see was black with little lights on each side. we sat down and the lamp's light started to die down, YEA the movie is starting!! there was a guy called Emmitt who thought he had friends but the didn't like him and he thought that he was a master builder. he was chosen to be a special because he found this thing and this thing is very important to this bad person and then stuff happens.
what i loved about the Lego movie was it was very emotional, and kind of romantic. What I thought was a bit weird was at the end humans began to get evolved and it got a little stupid and that it got way too emotional!
i found out the moral of the story it was..... everyone is special!

MISSION FAIR!!!!

this years mission fair was sweet!! I enjoyed being with Ashling, Aisling, Samantha, Maddy and Aimee. I had the idea to have candyfloss. i did say that the candy floss ends up being really small and that selling it for 1.50 is way to much for a size that small!
 we made lots of money i don't know exactly how much though all i know is that we raised over 100 dollars! which in my opinion is awesome.


next time when I do a fair at college I'm probably going to bring a bit more stuff and be more responsible in organising. we did have some stressing out when planning the mission fair because some people weren't going with the of what were going to do! LOL

what I love is Ancient Egypt books! I enjoy Ancient Egypt during the holidays because I have way more time and I can have time to translate some hiergraphics which is ancient Egyptian writing. what I like about ancient Egypt is gods, pharaohs and pyramids. the gods choose the pharaohs and the pharaohs choose diamonds and sapphires to go in the pyramid (or the pharaohs who die put there tombs in the pyramids) i usually read books on Monday, Wednesday and Tuesday because I'm free on Monday and Wednesday plus my activity that is on Tuesday usually finishes at 3:30 then I've got the rest of the day to myself.

I have improved on my statistics test alot on the mean, median, mode and range. my graphs were bad last time but ive also improved on that too.
I need to work on mostly on my graphs, I need to understand them more sometimes I get confused! (I don't usually get confused but I seem to loose concentration.
I worked during the test very well because I concentrated and I stuck to the test really well.

THE BEST DAY EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR

O.P.C CAMP
what I found the most challenging at camp was staring at huge wetas, abseiling and going water caving! because I have always had a phoebe of wetas and I've never gone abseiling so high off the ground before! the water caving got scarer and scarer because the water in the cave got higher and higher!
what I really found easy was going rock climbing, on the high ropes. I just wizzed past everyone in that activity, but I am a very experienced rock climber. also canoeing was easy just paddle, paddle and paddle at the same time with your other canoeing friends! (canoeing friends! lol).
what I expected was the low ropes to be way higher like half the size of the high rope course but ended being not even off the ground!
my proudest moment was probably when I went through the urban caving thing! it was sooooo................. scary but I did it!
so when I first saw that small hole, I thought our instructor was joking about us getting into that hole. but nooo...... he wasn't. everyone grins wiped off their faces it came to panic mode. I was the last one to go through the hole and.............. HECK... I LOVED IT, IT WAS SO FUN!!!!!!

Swimming

I have enjoyed swimming this term very much! I am in diving and I love it. we have been jumping off the 1 metre and the 3 metre! our coach is very strict about what happens is that if someone chickens out in the 3 metre (calvin!!! <------ lol) they wont be able to do diving! I have been working on, lately, jumping off the 3 metre backwards I get very scared sometimes and think that im going to die but that's just me, the drama queen! I am improving on my backward jump, just not enough. I need more confidence! I think I might better than I used to on my next lesson!

how im feeling about camp!

I'm very much excited for camp because we get to go and swim in the ocean and play in the playground! what im looking forward to is driving to camp because I love being with my friends (even though I am going to be with my friends!). we will get to listen to music and plan what we could do for our cabin and we will be able to stop at some places and have a look around!
im mostly worried about caving because I do get very uncomfortable when it comes to very tight spaces I haven't gone to caving ever in my life!
I am all prepared for camp. at first I thought I would never get all my stuff forcamp in time even when we have 3 weeks to get ready!
I want this week and next week to go very fast so that I can enjoy my time at camp with my friends!!
